Running out of storage room
I’m afraid not much have been happening in brewing terms in my world. After the great enthusiastic time in the holiday season which resulted in brewing 3 batches, I’m out of ingredients, space and bottles.
Lately it was a lot of raking, dry hopping and bottling. The split batch hops experiment of Black Ale is now in refrigeration stage, ready for some tasting in a week. The spraymalt and steeping attempt is now bottled (a few days ago) and if looking very good: Great amber colour, 4.4% ABV and great aromas. Not sure what the beer is, maybe a British Ale? It had very strong banana aromas that almost reminded me of Belgium Ales. I guess I will know in 2-3 weeks in a more official tasting.
My last brew is now finishing fermentation, but I’m out of bottles! Got some soda bottles (1 litres ones) that will have to supplement my last few swig-top bottles. I have no idea what is going with that beer – looks to be fine, but will end up being a very light and low alcohol beer – great for summer I guess. Just missed by a few moths.
Hopefully next month I ‘ll have some space and freed up bottles to continue playing with my little beer recipes. Any idea what to go for next?
